چکیده

The dumping of waste banana peels from local chip manufacturing has encouraged sustainable food trends to valorize these as pectin sources. In this study, soluble was extracted using a continuous subcritical water extraction system (SWE). This method promising fast process with solvent that environmentally friendly. Temperature (100 160 °C) and time (5 50 minutes) were manipulated, fixed pressure 15 MPa, flow rate mL/min, particle size 0.6 mm. response surface methodology (RSM) used generate approximately 13 experimental trials the central composite design. Based on linear square models, results revealed interaction temperature yield had significant effect. At 100°C for 5 minutes, an optimal condition producing achieved, which risen highest by 26%. As result, SWE promoted increased production in shortest time. short, peel is powder serves primary function numerous food, pharmaceutical, cosmeceutical applications.

Subcritical water extraction (SWE) of essential oil from Matricaria Chamomilla L.  (M. Chamomilla L.) was performed and compared with conventional method including hydro distillation. The percentage of main extracted components of different temperatures (100, 125, 150 and 175 oc) and water flow rates (1, 2 and 4 ml/min) were investigated at 20 bar pressure and 0.50 mm mean particle size in SWE....

Enhancement of Phenolic Production and Antioxidant Activity from Buckwheat Leaves by Subcritical Water Extraction

To enhance the production of phenolic compounds with high antioxidant activity and reduce the level of phototoxic fagopyrin, buckwheat leaves were extracted with subcritical water (SW) at 100~220°C for 10~50 min. The major phenolic compounds were quercetin, gallic acid, and protocatechuic acid. The cumulative amount of individual phenolic compounds increased with increasing extraction temperatu...
